This is our men's short-sleeve tee put through an unique Battle-Wash process and is pre-shrunk. The print says "coup d'etat" in an Arabian font.
A "Coup" or "coup d'état" (pronounced /Koo dey Tah/), or simply a coup (Koo), is the french term for a "sudden blow or strike to the state," known historically as overthrowing the government or an establishment-frequently by force-by a small group, mainly by replacing their high ranking officials. An early example of a Coup is the Haitian Slave Revolution waged against their French Colonizers, led by Toussaint L'Ouverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines, which ultimately led to the Independence of Haiti in 1804. Another dauntless Coup d'etat was the cuban overthrow of the Batistas, guided by the guerilla tactics of Fidel Castro and Ernesto "Che" Guevara. Examples of coups in more recent times include the military seizures of power in Nigeria (1983), Myanmar (1988) and Gambia (1994), the overthrow of president Ahmad Tejan Kabbah in Sierra Leone in February (1998), and the recent haitian uprising that saw the early removal of Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2004.
